The morning of Tuesday, April 9th, 2024

Good morning, et cetera, wherever in the world you are, dear Reader. πŸ’œ Greetings, and salutations. I only slept about four hours and find myself awake again, a beautiful warm yellow Sun shining over the desert terrain.

Right now I'm playing this one:

Keep on talkin' to me, keep on talkin' to me (talk to me)
Keep on talkin' to me, keep on talkin' to me (talkin' to me)
Keep on talkin' to me, keep on talkin' to me (talk to me)
Keep on talkin' to me
Speak to my heart, Holy Spirit
Give me the words that will bring new life
Words on the wings of a morning, the dark night will fade away
If You speak to my heart now
Speak to my heart (Holy Spirit)
Message of love (love to encourage me)
Lifting my heart (from the snare) how You love, love me, and care for me
Speak to my heart now, oh Lord
Speak to my heart, Holy Spirit
Give me the words that will bring new life
Words on the wings of a morning, my dark nights will fade away
Speak to my heart
Speak to my heart, Holy Spirit
Message of love to encourage me
Lifting my heart from the snare, how You love me and care for me
Speak to my heart
Speak to my heart (that's what I want You to do)
Speak to my heart ('cause I'm waiting to hear from You)
Speak to my heart (that's what I want You to do)
Speak to my heart
Speak to my heart, Lord, give me Your holy word
If I can't hear from You, then I'll know what to do
I won't go on, never go on my own
Just let your spirit guide and let Your word abide, say
Speak to my heart, Lord, give me Your holy word
If I can't hear from you, then I'll know what to do
I won't go on, Lord, I'll never go on my own
Just let Your spirit guide and let Your word abide
Speak to my heart, Lord, give me your holy word
If I can't hear from you, then I'll know what to do
I won't go on, I'll never go on my own
Just let Your spirit guide and let Your word abide
Speak to my heart, Lord, give me Your holy word
If I can't hear from You, then I'll know what to do
I won't go on, I'll never go on my own
Just let Your spirit guide and let Your word abide
Speak to my heart, Lord, give me Your holy word
If I can't hear from You, then I'll know what to do
I won't go on, I'll never go on my own
Just let Your spirit guide and let Your word abide
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, yeah, yeah
Talk to me, talk to me, talk to me, talk
Keep on talkin' to me, keep on talkin' to me, yeah, yeah
Keep on talkin' to me, talk to me, talk

And this one, so reverent and beautiful and childlike:

One single drop of rain
Your salty tear became blue ocean
One tiny grain of sand turning in your hand
A world in motion
You're out beyond the furthest Morning Star
Close enough to hold me in Your arms
Adonai, I lift up my heart and I cry
My Adonai
You are the Maker of each moment
Father of my hope and freedom
Oh, my Adonai
One timid faithful knock
Resounds up the Rock of Ages
One trembling heart and soul
Becomes a servant bold and courageous
You call across the mountains and the seas
I answer from the deepest part of me
From age to age you reign in Majesty
And today You're making miracles in me

Now that our hearts and minds are better prepared to receive it, here is the Word of God (Proverbs 9) from today's chapter in the Book of Wisdom (full text, NKJV, highlighted):
The Way of Wisdom
9 Wisdom has built her house,
She has hewn out her seven pillars;
2 She has slaughtered her meat,
She has mixed her wine,
She has also [a]furnished her table.
3 She has sent out her maidens,
She cries out from the highest places of the city,
4 “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”
As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
5 “Come, eat of my bread
And drink of the wine I have mixed.
6 Forsake foolishness and live,
And go in the way of understanding.
7 “He who corrects a scoffer gets shame for himself,
And he who rebukes a wicked man only harms himself.
8 Do not correct a scoffer, lest he hate you;
Rebuke a wise man, and he will love you.
9 Give instruction to a wise man, and he will be still wiser;
Teach a just man, and he will increase in learning.
10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,
And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
11 For by me your days will be multiplied,
And years of life will be added to you.
12 If you are wise, you are wise for yourself,
And if you scoff, you will bear it alone.”
The Way of Folly
13 A foolish woman is [b]clamorous;
She is simple, and knows nothing.
14 For she sits at the door of her house,
On a seat by the highest places of the city,
15 To call to those who pass by,
Who go straight on their way:
16 “Whoever is [c]simple, let him turn in here”;
And as for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
17 “Stolen water is sweet,
And bread eaten in secret is pleasant.”
18 But he does not know that the dead are there,
That her guests are in the depths of [d]hell.
