Hello, dear Reader, and welcome (back?) to this small, American sliver of cyberspace; may God smile on you this very moment (and always! Why not?)
Today? That was easy.
It's been hours since I read it myself, but here is today's Proverb (one of my very favorites, especially verses 8 & 9):
I cannot deny the truth when it's so obvious, clear, apparent, frank, to the point, and so very easy to understand (as in the excellent example of God's holy Word, the Scriptures). It (the Bible) is indeed "living and active".
Don't (just, blindly) believe me, though; (read it a bit) and see for yourselves. Prove me wrong, go ahead. All I ask is that you put true, repeated effort in a dedicated, genuine need to discredit me. 😏 Yeah, show me! Go ahead.
Well, right now I'm going to write a prayer for what strike me as some pretty big needs at the moment - feel free to agree if you like:
Dear Lord, thank You for yet another beautiful day full of blessings, starting with Life that no one was promised and that not one of us deserved, God. Thank You. Please let us wake up again tomorrow, Lord God. Father, we lift up our friends and family to You all the way to the most casual acquaintance, God, and ask for You to move in and through each of them in a new way today, God, and we thank You, Lord. Please heal the sick, encourage the fearful, strengthen the weak, give clarity to the ones searching for Your Truth, God, please save souls this day, Lord, to the glory of Your Name! Please protect all godly leaders across the globe, Lord God, protecting each of them and everyone who surrounds each of them, God, in Jesus' Name. Please expose any traitors in safe and undeniable ways as You protect them and imbue them each with the ability to do Your Will, God, in Jesus' Name.
Lord, we ask You to please set every captive free across the globe, God, in Jesus' Name. Please reveal and liberate every single human being, every child, God, who is currently a victim of the human trafficking industry. God we ask You to please destroy that entire industry globally and bring the workers to their knees before You, God. Please turn that industry into nothing more than a memory, let it become like the dust of the desert, God, in Jesus' Name, please.
And Father God, we ask for You to please show Yourself merciful to the people in Myanmar following the massive earthquake they recently experienced, God. Please save every survivor according to Your will, God. Please imbue everyone working to rescue others with emotional, mental, and physical strength, God, and prepare each of their hearts for the things they will each likely see; we can only imagine, Lord. Anyway, we ask You to save the soul of every human being who hears or reads these words, God, in Jesus' Name! And, please answer the prayers we forgot asking further that, above all we want or ask that Your will is done, in Jesus' Name. Amen. 💘
