Friday, March 28th, 2025 - Evening

Greetings and salutations, dear Reader, and welcome to this obscure American blog (again, if applicable) on a warm late-Spring evening in the Northern Hemisphere where the following video is playing in the background ever so softly, the only other sounds being an oscillating fan and the clicking sound of my typing:

This video (all of those long-running, soothing videos, in fact) - it's just fantastic; we love it and use it quite a bit, since we often don't want anything that demands full attention or competes with our conversations. And it's also nice to leave playing for the pets to enjoy when he and I leave the house so that the non-human family members don't have to sit alone in silence while they wait for us to return home.

Today was busy and we got quite a bit done with much, much more to do until the current task is finished (the task of moving to another home, that is). It's no secret though I haven't exactly been advertising the fact, either; simply put, it's closer to town, costs literally exponentially less, and we will have the freedom to do as we damn-well please with the outdoor spaces adjacent to home as all humans do when not otherwise stifled. We're more than happy to put our money towards those who deserve it, rather than those who steal from and oppress the poor which, as I understand it IS a one-way ticket straight to Hell, but I digress.

And that's literally all that I have to say about that, for now; the way that we are treated from this moment and up until the last one that we are here will determine how (if at all) I speak about this place, the people here, and what really goes on around here after our move is complete. But that is wholly dependent upon those in charge here, based wholly on how this venture ends and how Terry and I are treated, so we'll see and I will do nothing more or less than tell the truth.
Anyway...

This morning I did at least read and listen to the day's Proverb and will post that here for you as well:

Today's stand-out verse for me is this one:
And, maybe you don't, dear Reader, but I, for one, have to be reminded of this truth frequently and even then I must be reminded some more and again! Note also that elsewhere in the Proverbs we are admonished to trust Him with all of our hearts, leaning not unto our own understanding, noting the critical distinction between the two words which were deliberately chosen in each case and with deep, excellent reasoning.

I have one idea that could immediately stop the Ukraine/Russia war, but have no safe, private, legal channel for making the idea known to the higher-ups in our government, so I will just continue to pray that God give our leaders this same idea (as the one in my mind) and will leave that at that. Suffice it to say, that ultimately, all I want for everyone is peace; way, way too many people have already died; enough is enough. Who cares what the history between them is at this point when those ideals continue to result in the needless shedding of human blood and for what? Like Elon Musk pointed out in a televised interview last night, the battle lines haven't moved in two years - so WHY do people have to keep dying?! Anyway: we now have nuclear warheads. So, yeah, we need to do all that we can as human beings to end war, globally. Any reasonable person knows this, irrespective of (political, ideological, theological) beliefs.

Thank you for spending some minutes of your time here, dear Reader; be bold in integrity, you won't regret it. Take care. 💘
