Good morning (et cetera) dear Reader, and welcome to yet another day above ground! I'm happy to say that we're near the end of moving, and once that's done, the real work begins. I will say that I much prefer the huge windows we have now to the smaller ones that we just moved away from. The dogs are still somewhat nervous, the turtle is settled right in as far as we can tell; the kitty's roaming the place like he owns it, and the rabbit is inspecting his new living room at the moment.
Here is today's Proverb:
And, this morning, I want to tell you a bit about an idea that came to me a couple of days ago and I just can't shake it; I think it's a good one (but you may, or may not, agree). Here it is.
Years ago, my late best friend, Fionna, was in a car accident in North Texas that disabled her vehicle; another motorist stopped to assist (Fionna's car was in the middle of the highway). Well, unfortunately, a Trophy Club policeman who responded to the call failed to see the woman who stopped to help Fionna, struck and killed her accidentally with his car. Perhaps if he had been going slower it might not have killed her; but I know that if that stretch of remote highway in North Texas had had adequate lighting, he probably would have seen the woman and she would probably still be alive today.
Which brings to mind the idea. For many years now, as an adult, I prefer to live in small towns or rural areas; the biggest problem with that is the absence of adequate light for safe traveling at night. Not lack: ABSENCE. All over the United States.
Why have we not already done this?
So, that's why I entitled this blog entry "let there be light!" - indeed.
Anyway, that's all I have for now, dear Reader. Thank you for spending some precious minutes of your life reading my words, I appreciate it and pray that God bless you richly today, in Jesus' Name, amen.
