Greetings and salutations on this fine December day above ground, dear Reader, and welcome. I'm blessed to be warmed by manufactured heat, hot coffee, and adequate clothing for current conditions while I cuddle one sleeping turtle on my chest, sleeping under my top/ on my skin for warmth after his fifteen-minute warm bath about an hour ago. I'm even further blessed to have a wonderful man sleeping mere feet from where we (the turtle and I) sit.
We love Tom MacDonald (the artist in the above-video). My favorite line from this song is "I want to choke the woke until they struggle to breathe" π
Our maybe year-old (but granted, cheap) coffee-maker died the other day and at first, I was bummed. (Well, I AM bummed about having to spend money) but, there's a silver lining to this cloud! The new coffee maker that he went out and bought for us as a replacement is the one we've wanted all along - the kind that does not "turn itself off" but instead has a real-life "on/off" switch! π
I understand the supposed purpose of auto-shut-off (to decrease manufacturer liability - I mean 'to save lives') but at the same time, F*** that, man! I am not so stupid that I need machines to turn themselves off for me so I don't die.
And now, it's nearly impossible to find a real, decent coffee maker, at least in the United States it is (and here I mean in regular retail establishments - there are troves of treasure like genuine coffee-makers in second-hand stores). Anyway, I'm trying to make a point - that I'm sick and tired (to DEATH) of all of the pervasive over-reach from 'on high' that results in stupidity like it being nearly damned impossible to find a coffee maker with an on/off switch.
If God will continue to keep him alive (please DO, Lord!) then come January 20th, 2025, BIG changes are coming - thank God (quite literally).
